Podcasting is simply the recording of an mp3 audio file that is subsequently published on the internet and added to an RSS feed. So what does this have to do with education? Your class can have its own internet-published newscast, poetry readings, or any other audio-based media assignment that would be applicable to your discipline. Too much trouble, no equipment? This workshop will show you how to set up your own classroom podcasting webpage quickly and easily with podomatic.com. This is a safe, free online service. No downloads are necessary and the only equipment needed is a computer with a microphone and your imagination!
